Cabarrus County, North Carolina had a need to shift the focus of how it was perceived by the travel audience. As the home of Charlotte Motor Speedway, the County was considered a destination primarily for motorsports enthusiasts. The County felt that this was excluding a larger audience who would enjoy the variety of experiences the region had to offer.
